Arrived in Iquitos!!!

Hello Yall,

Man there is so much to update you guys on. I arrived in Iquitos last night at 800 and wow, I was in the jungle. We got off the plane via stairs, the smell was like none I´ve smelled, not bad, just different. It was pitch black minus the random lights around. and the lights that were around had so many flying insects around them!!! It was strange, there are ver few cars here, all mototaxies. and they drive like a kid on their 21st birthday... I´m so glad I arrived here, I love it. There are too many words describe all that I´m experiencing\taking in. I´ve met the majority of the ppl in the school and they are great. I gave someone directions in spanish and he understood what i was saying, this will be the beginning of many updates on spanish... I start te actual DTS En la maƱana !!!

First Update

Hello All,

I am writing in an internet/phone place, from Bogota, Columbia. I have used my spanish to get around and havent spoken a word of English. Id like yall to know this is not a normal American keyboard so if there are no apostraphes/other things missing, Im not illiterate, this keyboard is just weird! I tried tuesday, wednesday, and thursday getting a flight out on standby. Its the start of the Peruvian school year therefore I wouldnt have been able to get to Lima until wednesday. then to Iquitos by thursday. God is so good though, He provided Dick Hyslop who had a hotel in Miami for the week. That had an all you can eat breakfast and dinner. Praise God for that!!! Cesar and I had a lot of time to bond and get to know one another. we spent the three days together in Miami, he spent four!!! I was able to witness to a guy and from that I was able to pray over 4 other people and one was brought to tears by the joy of the Lord. It was incredible. Thank you everyone who has supported me up until this point, my parents and family for sticking it out with me over the years. what an adventure its been!!! And for the people who beleived in me up until this point, financially throught this trip, prayerfully (the most important) and just being a part of my life. Thank you. I wasnt able to get ahold of my Uncle Scott and Aunt Barb, THank You both so much... I love witnessing to people and from what I saw from last night, i ministered to 5 spanish speaking people. Yes Miamis two languages are Spanish and spanglish. Its official. My time is running out. I love all of you so much and next time you will hear from me it will be in Iquitos, Peru!!!
